My life's journey began with deep set roots in Southern Gospel Music very early in my life. I can't remember a time in our home as a child when gospel music wasn't a vital part of our lives. Mom played the piano and all the family came from miles around bringing their guitars and instruments as everyone sang to the tops of their voices.
I heard my first gospel quartet when I was nine years old. We attended a gospel sing at the local Assembly of God church. The group was the "Rebels Quartet". The old wood church was packed with people standing in the aisles. In the mid forties our little town did not get to hear singing groups like this. All that I was seeing and hearing for the first time, as a young child wide eyed on grandmother's lap, I determined I wanted to sing and be a part of this for the rest of my life. I knew this was what I was going to do. I began listening to the radio whenever I got the chance. I started listening to the Statesman and any group I could. I studied Jake Hess and his style. I loved every minute of time I spent listening to them all!
I started piano lessons during this time. By the time I was twelve years old I was pianist for my church. Three years later I became a member of the "Happy Three Trio". We sang at openings for professional groups when they made an appearance in our town. Our little group attended all the singing conventions that were in surrounding counties. I was on my journey!
I married and raised two children but never gave up my music during that time. I continued singing with different local groups. In the early 90's, I started singing solo and went to Nashville to acquire experience in singing before large crowds.
 I won several recognition’s on showcases and appeared at the "Pageant of Peace" at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C. I was so fortunate to have been there two consecutive years. It was a magnificent moment for all. Another highlight of my journey is when I had an appearance to sing at the Grand Palace in Branson, MO. The love of singing Gospel Music and the people having a great time made it spectacular and unforgettable! A very memorable moment was I had the privilege to attend a special dedication for a homeless shelter in Louisville, KY which was so very needed. It was an exciting time to have this incredible opportunity.
I love to have fun with my singing and getting together with so many exciting and talented people. The paths and turns have allowed me to meet some of the greatest people in the music industry as well as making friends and interacting with the audience. I have had the privilege of meeting some of the most interesting people on life's highway.
 I have released several singles on compilations with HMG Lo Records and other independent labels. I now have my own record label ALH Records. My latest release, "Heaven Express" is my delight. I've worked hard on this release.
My family has been a real support all these years, but the real credit I give to God. He has allowed me to have a wonderful life and to experience love and respect for my talent. I believe Jesus is the son of God and through Jesus we can receive eternal life by confession of our sins and asking God to come into our lives. And whatever this life throws our way....GOD IS IN CONTROL.
